Quezon City – June 25, 2025
ㅤ
In a dynamic move to elevate collegiate golf in the Philippines, DuckWorld PH and the Pilipinas College Golf Series (PCGS) formed a landmark partnership aimed at developing and expanding competitive platforms for student-athletes across the nation.
ㅤ
The strategic alliance was formalised during a launch event at the University Hotel, University of the Philippines Diliman, where PCGS representative Atty. Roy Ibay and then DuckWorld PH Chairman Patrick Gregorio shook hands on a vision to nurture the next generation of Filipino collegiate golfers.
ㅤ
Gregorio emphasised that the partnership is more than staging tournaments: “We want to enable and support more colleges to establish golf teams nationwide,” he stated.

Two Flagship Playoffs Rolled Out

Following the launch, the series opened with two major playoff events:
ㅤ
Battle of the South – April 27 at Caliraya Springs Golf & Country Club, Laguna.
Battle of the North – June 22 at Camp John Hay Golf Club, Baguio City—where DuckWorld PH served as a key partner through its management role with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA)
ㅤ
Southern universities such as De La Salle University–Manila, College of Saint Benilde, and Arellano University competed in the first playoff. Northern teams—including the University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University, and the University of Santo Tomas—matched up during the Baguio leg.
