A BRIEF HISTORY

1903

Named after former U.S. Secretary John Hay, the Camp John Hay golf course was originally established in 1903. Despite being one of the oldest golf courses in the Philippines, it remains one of the most beautiful and sought-after golfing destinations in the country.

In 1999, the course was redesigned by Golden Bear International using the legendary Jack Nicklaus’ design. Fairways were widened and sand capped, bunkers re-shaped and added, and Tifway 419 bermuda used in the fairways and Bentgrass for the greens.

1999

2025

Formerly a membership club under CJH Golf Club Inc., the estate became a public course on January 6, 2025, when Camp John Hay was restored to the possession of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority by a Supreme Court ruling. Now rebranded as John Hay Golf under the interim consortium of Golfplus Management Inc. and DuckWorld PH, the rebrand prioritizes accessibility without compromising quality, upholding excellence, inclusivity, and community engagement, welcoming golfers of all levels.
